EFT Tapping
EFT tapping, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is an alternative therapy that combines elements of traditional Chinese medicine with modern psychology. It involves tapping with your fingertips on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on a negative emotion or physical symptom. The theory behind EFT tapping is that it helps to balance the body's energy system and reduce the emotional impact of memories or past experiences.
EFT tapping is based on the belief that disruptions in the body's energy system can contribute to emotional and physical distress. By stimulating the meridian points through tapping, it is thought that these disruptions can be cleared, leading to a reduction in emotional intensity and a sense of emotional relief.
The process begins by identifying a specific problem, such as a fear, anxiety, or physical pain. The individual then focuses on that issue while tapping on specific meridian points on the face, upper body, and hands. While tapping, you repeat a short phrase that acknowledges the issue and aims to promote self-acceptance and affirmation.
The tapping sequence is typically repeated while focusing on the issue at hand, and the individual might experience a decrease in emotional distress or physical discomfort. EFT tapping can be used to address a wide range of issues, including stress, anxiety, phobias, and traumatic memories.

You must concentrate on the negative emotion—fear or anxiety, a bad memory, an unresolved problem, or anything that’s disturbing you.

Before tapping, you need to establish a setup phrase that describes the current issue you are facing. The two main goals you need to focus on are as follows:

Accepting yourself despite the problems

The common setup phrase is “Although I have this (fear or problem), I deeply and completely accept myself.” You can alter it according to a way that suits you. However, refrain from addressing other’s issues as your own. For example, you can’t say, “Although my mother is sick, I deeply and completely accept myself.” Instead, you can alter the sentence by saying, “Although I’m sad that my mother’s sick, I deeply and completely accept myself.”

While maintaining your focus, use your fingertips to tap five to seven times each on nine of the body’s meridian points.

You tap on these meridian points while aiming at accepting and resolving the negative emotion. It will help repair any energy disruption.

Tapping sends signals directly to the stress centers of the mid-brain, thus reducing the stress or negative emotion you get from your issue.

EFT would ultimately restore balance to your disrupted energy.
